School Governors



Penny Bowes (Community Governor)Areas of Responsibility: Training liasion Governor.

Penny has lived in the village since 1989, and became a School Governor in 1996. She was married in Owslebury, subsequently returning after living in Africa for ten years. Her son attended Owslebury School. Penny and her husband run their own business.



Deb Tyler

 Areas of Responsibility: Special Educational Needs (SEN)/Gifted & Talented/Safeguarding

Deb Tyler had a daughter at Owslebury who has just started at Wyvern.  She is a project manager working in various parts of the public sector.

Chris Westwood
Chris has worked at IBM for nearly 20 years. For more than half this time he has held different managerial positions which has meant a mix of personnel management, business development and strategy and project management. Through this time, he has built up skills in leadership, communication, negotiation, coaching, decision making and recruitment.
Fiona Aubrey-Smith (Chair of Governors/Community Governor)
Areas of Responsibility: Teaching and Learning, Headteacher Performance Management.
Fiona moved to the village in 2013. She has experience in school leadership, local authority, advisory work and national & international education consultancy.  She sits on a number of education boards in a non-executive director role and has a regular column for Headteacher Update magazine.

Dan Mar-Moilinero

Dan has 20 years of education experience and has taught in many different settings ranging from community workshops to being Head of a large Performing Arts department at a Hampshire 6th Form College.  Dan works as a musician and composer alongside some teaching work, including lecturing in Music at the University of Southampton.
